Leonardo are looking for skilled individuals to join their Systems Engineering Function to work on a large-scale Electronic Counter-Measures (ECM) programme. We are seeking systems engineers to work across the entire system lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the start of a project through concept to delivery. As a member of our team, you will have the ability to contribute to the requirements capture at system level, flow down of requirements to sub-systems and manage key stakeholders.

 

Candidates with a broad range of Systems Engineering Lifecycle expertise working in the Defence industry, coupled with Electronic Warfare and/or Countermeasures domain knowledge should apply.

What you will do

Your primary responsibility will be to enact good systems engineering practices for electronic warfare countermeasures (unmounted and mounted). Key subsystems include transmit and receive antennas, RF signal processing, electronic receivers and waveform generators.

What we are looking for

You really must have:

  • Knowledge of RF communication systems
  • Understanding of EW countermeasures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to steer technical interchange discussions
  • Practical application of Systems Engineering concepts across the entire lifecycle
  • Ability to define and influence requirements definition and design decisions, both within the internal project team and customer environments

 

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience in RF over Copper/Ethernet/Fiber
  • Experience of developing systems which align to Open Architectures
  • Modelling experience using Matlab/Simulink toolset
  • Knowledge/Experience working with the DOORS toolset within an MBSE environment
