The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen within the Leonardo Helicopters Customer Support & Training (CS&T) Department for the role of Canada In Service Support (ISS) Project Controller, reporting to the Canada Senior Customer Service Manager. This is a new position as a result of the recent award of the Cormorant Mid-Life Update Programme.

What you will do

The CS&T Canada ISS Project Controller primarily supports the Cormorant Government Sourced Material (GSM) Programme Manager on all activities associated with the execution of the CMLU GSM Programme. This will include administration of the GSM programme documentation, reviews, budgets, plans and most importantly the configuration control of the GSM Database that contains the detailed aircraft and parts data associated with the induction, infeed, status accounting and delivery performance of GSM to the point of handover to the CMLU FAL (UK and Hx) and as required by the Customer. The ISS Project Controller will work closely with the Canada ISS IPT, and from time to time may support other aspects of the overall Canada ISS Programme.

 

With reference to the ISS GSM Management Plan, the key accountabilities of the ISS Project Controller are:

  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of GSM contract deliverables in accordance with agreed project plans
  • Monitoring and reporting on GSM programme performance as described with in the GSM Management Plan
  • Maintaining the configuration of the GSM Requirements documentation, including the GSM primary source database, and GSM Management Plan as required by, and in accordance with, contractual requirements from the Customer
  • Coordinating and administering the LH GSM Reviews and, where necessary, Customer Working Groups and associated meetings
  • Supporting the Canada Customer Support Manager on related activities on the ISS contract from time to time

 

What we are looking for

  • A positive attitude expressed in drive, motivation and commitment in executing tasks in a cross functional and multidiscipline IPT led / matrix organisation
  • An understanding of Customers’ use of the Company’s products and services
  • An understanding of the Customers’ support organisation
  • Basic project management and planning skills, including working with budgets, schedules, data analysis and mitigation action plans in a logistics or environment
  • Be responsible for the primary GSM database /  data analysis on which the CMLU Programme stakeholders will rely, including configuration control of the database
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, formal presentation) and interpersonal skills within Leonardo Helicopters and with related Customer organisations
  • To be resilient under pressure and maintain a clear focus on goals and priorities
  • The ability to collect, collate, analyse and present detailed information clearly and concisely in writing or verbally
  • Basic knowledge of the company organisation and operating procedures
  • Problem solving abilities and the ability to apply them in a challenging environment
